Dr. Edward J. Cupler is a Consultant Neurologist and Neuromuscular Diseases Specialist at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center Jeddah Saudi Arabia. Dr. Cupler completed his undergraduate work and medical school at the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1988. He performed an Internal Medicine internship at Loyola University in Chicago and Neurology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston followed by a Neuromuscular Disease Fellowship at the National Institute of Health. In 1996 he joined King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. During that time Dr. Cupler was active in clinical neurology post-graduate education and research. Prior to his current position Dr. Cupler was Associate Professor Director of the Neuromuscular Disease Center Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship Program and MDA Clinic and Co-Director of the ALS Center of Oregon at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. He returned to Saudi Arabia in 2010. Dr. Cupler has shown consistent goals at educating Saudi physicians in neurological sciences and creating research locally.
Dr. Cupler is a member of various organisations and societies and has authored multiple academic publications book chapters web-based educational activities and abstracts. He is an investigator on multiple clinical trials.
